There is only one baptismal record, for Katherine Ramsay baptized 8 Oct 1820, the daughter of Michael Ramsay and Ann Smith, Lot 13, but there were two Catherines in Lot 13 born around the same time: one married William Ramsay, the other John Harkness. Note that this was not one woman who married twice. The other couple in Lot 13 who could have had a daughter born around this time were Donald and Marie (Cannon). The third Catherine, born about 1823, belongs with the Lot 17 Ramsays.

The Catherine who married John Harkness could be the daughter of Michael Ramsay and Ann Smith:

This Catherine Ramsay (Catherine 2) married John Harkness from Nova Scotia and died in 1875. She would have been one of the 6 daughter of Michael and Ann (Smith) Ramsay.

(Note, however, the neither Catherine Ramsay named a son Michael. )

Son Donald's marriage record said she was Catherine Ramsay, and on the 1891 census he said his father was born in Nova Scotia and his mother on Prince Edward Island.
