Notes

Note

Two babies named George Humphrey were baptized in Tarbolton in the fall of 1783: George, son of William, and George, son of James. They were, perhaps, cousins.

There was a George Humphrey who married Agnes Lambie on 10 August 1810 in Kilmarnock, Ayr, Scotland.

George (born 1783 in Tarbolton) and Agness were in the 1851 census of Kilmarnock; George was a weaver (cotton). They had children Jean, 33 Marrion, 27 and Helen, 23; Agnes McGee, age 3, was a grand-daughter.

Is this the same George and Agness 10 years earlier, in the same place?

On the image, it looks like 50 for George, but Agness could be 50, 51, or 56.

Agness, age 76, was a widow in Kilmarnock with two grand-daughters, Agnes Humphrey, age 16 and Agnes McGee, age 14.

There was also a George Humphrey who died in 1830 - was this one of the Georges born in 1783, of a son of one of them?
