William Fidler, son of John and Hannah, was baptized in Etchilhampton, Wiltshire, England in January 1826, the son of John and Hannah.
William Fidler married Christiana Stewart in Charlottetown, PEI in 1849. Witnesses were Joseph and Catherine Smith.
His father John, born England, and sister Mary, born on the Island, were living with his family in Sunbury, NB in the 1861 census, which further ties him to the family of John Fiddler and Hannah Offer from England. William and Christiana's daughter Margaret, age 4, was their first child born in new Brunswick.
