Note

Allison Beer was born in October 1899, the son of Johnstone Mann and Elizabeth Mann.

He worked as a carpenter. Allison and his brother Johnstone went out west with a harvest excursion, and in the 1920s Allison went to Boston to find work.

He married Nina Mae Coulson from Sea View (1911 - 1997), the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Ramsay) Coulson. They had a family of 11 children, and lived in the Kensington area. Two of their sons died young as a result of accidents, and one son died as an infant.

Allison died in 1987 at the age of 88 years.

Most of the information on this family was taken from two books: From the Ponds to Sea View, and From the Top of the Hill, and a binder prepared by their daughter Doris.
