In the 1911 census, Catherine was a widow. At home with her at 53 Elm Avenue in Charlottetown were Wallace, May, Lucy, John, George and Edith. Agnes, her mother in law, died at her home in 1915.
Catherine and some of her children moved to British Columbia, around 1919. In the 1921 census, Catherine and her youngest daughter Edith were living in Vancouver South.

Catherine died at her residence 2333 Ontario St. in her 82nd year. Survived by two sons, W. S. and J. e. , Lulu Island and two daughters, Mrs E. D. Martin, Washington and Mrs B. E. Richards, Vancouver. A brother, Robert Elliott, Sask. The Province 25 May 1948
