These McFadyens might be a different group from the main lines I am researching. It is possible that they all came from the same area of Scotland.

The COVE McFadyens - See the History of Canoe Cove. It says that Malcolm McFadyen lived in Crapaud. He had two sons, Angus and Donald, and two daughters Jane and Anne. Donald moved to Canoe Cove.

He could be the Malcolm, born Scotland, in Lot 29 in the 1841 census of the Island:
