Daughter of Robert Dyment and Margaret Jane Murray.

In 1916, Elizabeth married the much older John Francis Waters (age 36) when she was still a teen-ager (age 14). On her marriage record, there is an indication that special permission was required for the marriage. One year later she had a baby boy.

When he filled out a registration form for WW1, John Francis Waters gave his occupation as undertaker, working for Geo. W. Waters, and this was the name he gave as his contact (about 1917/1918).

In the 1920 census, John F. Waters was living with his uncle, George Waters:

There was no wife, or baby son, in this household. I haven't been able to find Elizabeth in the 1920 census. She was not living with her mother and step-father. Elizabeth was not living with her husband and son in the 1930 census, or with her son Walter in the 1940 census.

In 1930, "Bessie Waters" was working as a maid in the family of Robert Johnson. In 1940, Elizabeth was working as the housekeeper for Roy Johnson, a widower with children. She had not been working for him in 1930, but indicated that she had been in the same place in 1935.

John Francis Waters died in 1933. His status on the death record was married, but the name of his wife was left blank on the form.

Elizabeth married Ray Johnson in November 1940 in New Hampshire. From census records, Elizabeth had been keeping house for the widower.

"Mrs (Bessie) Elizabeth A. Johnson died at a nursing home in Concord on Sunday July 1. She was born in South Lancaster, Mass. the daughter of Robert Dyment and Margaret Jane Murray. Survivors are her husband Roy J. Johnson and two sons, John W. Waters, a prominent undertaker. Donald R. Johnson of Manchester; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Bouffard of Portland, Or and Mrs. Louise De Lelia of New York; brother Albert Dyment of Jamaica, Long Island, New York, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Devine of Brooklyn and Mrs. Hazel Pedeare." Hillsborough Messenger July 12 1962

From records, it looks like Roy went to Oregon to live with one of his children, and died there in 1976.
