1915 - ON FURLOUGH -Earl Reid of the 6th Canada. Mounted Rifles ar- rived iii Summerside on Friday even- ing on a few days leave of absence. He reports the boys in high spirit at Amherst,

Has been sent from France to the Grayllngwell War Hospital England suffering from a bad sore throat. Pte. Reid is a son of Mr. Douglas Reid. Campbellton, P. E. I. and previous to enlistment was employed as bookkeeper with the Journal Publishing Company Sum- merside. tile many friends wish him a speedy recovery.- WW1

Earl was not living with his parents in 1921. He was in Montreal when his father died in 1934.
