Notes

Note

Minnie, who later called herself Jean, was the daughter of George Watson Dyment and Nora Bailey.

Minnie was living with her parents, age 10, in the 1910 census. She was the oldest daughter. Minnie Dyment, b. 1900 in Massachusetts (mother b. Kansas) was living in Washington State in 1920, boarding with the Hoburts.

Minnie Florence Dyment married J. Roy in 1917; they married again in 1921, in Washington State. Both parties were divorced on the second marriage. She could be the Jean Dyment, age 22 from Tacoma who married Ira B. Hildebrand, in November 1921.

Minnie Florence married J. Clarence Stewart in 1926, and witnesses at the marriage of Nora Dyment to Lloyd Tyo in 1926 were Jean and J. C. Stewart. In 1930, Jean Dyment married Roy O. Barry in Washington. And in 1944, Jean Barry, daughter of George Dyment and Nora Bailey, married Charles A. Einarson. Jean, therefore, has to be the same daughter as Minnie Florence.

The (partial) obituary for Nora Ann Bailey Dyment lists her children as Harry and Dorothy, Mrs. Lila Glassman, Mrs. Mattie Baker and Mrs. Nora Gordon. (Seattle Daily Times February 24 1928). In his obituary, George Dyment's children were listed as Mrs. Lila Nauss [Neuss], Mrs. Nora Gordon, Mrs. Jean Barry of Spokane, Mrs. Dorothy Burke of Saranac Lake, New York. (1953) Matie Baker married and lived in Saranac Lake after her marriage. Her sister/adopted daughter Dorothy went with her, and became known as Dorothy Stokes Burke.
