Eleanor Gorrill Moreshead born in PEI October 1 1891 was the daughter of Daniel Moreshead of Cape Breton. She was a nursing sister during the first world war with the Canadian Army Medical Corp.

She married GERALD CARLTON MELHADO, a physician and surgeon, who also enlisted in the First world War. He was born 22/11/1890 in Old Harbour Jamaica BWI.
