Joseph (Joe) Ladner
The funeral of Joseph (Joe) Ladner was held at the Moase Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 11,* at 1:30 with interment in Victoria West Cemetery. Rev. David Winsor conducted the service. Congregational hymns were "Abide With Me" and the 23rd Psalm. A duet "In The Garden" by Lyndon and Betty Ellis. Organist was Art Matheson.
Joe was born on August 15, 1894 in Enmore, P.E.I., son of Charles and Sarah Ladner. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who knew him as a loving friendly person.
He leaves to mourn three sons: Clinton, Ancel and Eric of Ontario; and five daughters: Gladys (Mrs. Harry Birch), Ruperta (Mrs. Wallace Milligan), Doris (Mrs. Lloyd Dyment), Drusilla (Mrs. Harvey Bonham) all of Ontario; Olive (Mrs. Robert Enman) and Connie of P.E.I.; also 50 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and one sister, Belle Nisbet, of Portland, Maine. He was predeceased by his wife Bertha (Nisbet), one son Alex, and two daughters, Muriel and Gracie.
