Glenwood and vicinity was
shocked and saddened on February
8th, 1952, when it became known
that one or its most respected
citizens. Thomas Gorriii, was call
ed to Higher Service.


Parting: from loved ones always
brings sorrow. but when it comes
with such suddenness is very hard
to bear.


Mr. Gorrill, who was in his 69th
year. and in good health. was R
prosperous farmer. and built up a
beautiful farm property. and was
working in the woods. when he was
killed by A falling tree.

Mr. Gorrlll was a true Christian
gentleman. and was always ready
to witness for his Master. whom
he served and loved to lift his
voice in singing praises to His
name.


He was A member of C'Leary
Nazarene Church, where he will be
missed. as he will be in Glenwood
United Church. where he. was ll
faithful member of the choir mid
it Sunday School Superintendent
for many years. and where he was
also active in the layman's work
of the Church. His loss will also
be greatly felt. in the community
where he was always ready to help
with any worthwhile enterprise.

He leaves to mourn their loss two
sons. Cecil of Glenwood: Wymen at

home; and two daughters. Flo-.-,.
Mrs. Alvin Maclsaac. 1-lebron. and

Elaine. R. N. Mrs. Lorne Jelley.
also four brothers, Amos
of Glenwood: Irving. of Pontiex.
