William H. Simmons

William H. Simmons, 81, of Brewer died at a local hospital Thursday evening following a long illness.

He was born in Prince Edward Island, May 25 1883, the son of William and Catherine (Smith)Simmons. He came to this country in 1910 and was employed by the Maine Central Railroad for many years, later working for the Eastern Corporation until his retirement in 1950.

Surviving are two daughters Mill Velma Simmons of Brewer and Mrs Charles P. Daniels of Atlanta GA, a brother george of Watervolle, three sisters, Mrs Kenneth Naugler of Brewer, Mrs M. F. Burke of Saco and Mrs Otto Smith of PEI. Bangor Daily News 12 February 1965 pg 24
