My Family Tree

I do not have a baptismal record for Barbara, and I'm not sure where I found the date used here. However, Alexander Milligan, husband of Margaret, signed the marriage bond with George McArthur, which could indicate that Barbara belongs with this family of McDougalls. As well, Barbara was from Lot 18, where Duncan and Barbara lived.
Note, however, that some people place Barbara in the family of Alexander and Nancy from Lot 12. George was from Lot 8.

I haven't been able to find futher records for George and Barbara together.

However, when George W. McArthur, son of Malcolm and Ann, married Alice Moore in 1877, he was a widower. If this is the same George, then Barbara died before 1877. George W. was in the US in 1880, a married man living in lodgings, and I was unable to find Alice in the 1881 Canadian or 1880 US census.

George W. and Alice McArthur did not have any older children living with them in the 1900 US census, so I have assumed that George and Barbara had no surviving children.
