Alexander C MacDougall, the well' known carpenter and contractor passed away at the family home yesterday following a period of failing health during the last six months The deceased was born in Alberton, Prince Edward Island, June 27, 1861 and was one of quite a large family, he came to this country about 43 years ago When a young man starting out in life he chose carpentry for his occupation and as was customary in those days he served a long apprenticeship Mr MacDougall enjoyed the reputation of being a very thorough and capable workman. He was survived by his wife and three sons, one sister, Mrs Samuel Beairsto and brothers Solomon, Gordon of New Hampshire, and Henry. Amesbury Daily News Wednesday , January 6th, 1932 pg 1
