My Family Tree

There are no baptismal records for the children of John Ramsay and Margaret Penman. John's name came from another family tree, but has not been verified. Because of his age, and his location, he would fit with this family.

There was a John Ramsay in Lot 13 who married Anne Pickering and died in Trout River, on 22 January 1881, in his 63rd year. He and Anne had one son, Artemis, who died young; the newspaper death notice said that he was survived by his widow.

John, of Port Hill, Lot 13 left everything to his wife Ann in his will. In Anne's will, she left her estate, including the farm, to her second husband Levi and her adopted daughter Milcie.
