James Edward MacLean (1860), of Tyne Valley, married Miriam Cameron (1864) of Arlington.
They moved to this farm and had three children:
-Laughlin (1885) not married
-Ethel (1886) married Rev. Brown
-Emily (1898) not married
Laughlin "Lacky", Emily and Ethel, after the death of her husband, farmed the farm and lived at
the homestead until their death.

Best birthday wishes are extended to James E. McLean on his 91st birthday on March 15. Mr. Mclean is bright and smart, reads without the aid of glasses, and is an interesting conversationalist.

According to his obituary, he was the last surviving member of the family of Donald and Sarah McLean. His wife predeceased him about 14 years ago. He leaves to mourn one son Laughlin on the homestead. Two daughters, Ethel, Mrs. (Rev) Andrew Brown and Miss Emily McLean, also of Northam.
