Eliza or Elizabeth McDougall of Richmond Parish. She could be one of the females in the household of Peter McDougall in the 1798 census of PEI. Although she did not name a son Peter, or a daughter Marion, DNA evidence suggests that this was her family.

In 1801, she married James Campbell.

James Campbell, farmer of Lot 13, died 27 September 1824. William Ellis, son in law of James and Elizabeth, prepared the inventory of the estate in October 1823. See Early PEI Probate Records, 1786-1850, page 65, which was signed by his widow Elizabeth, and two of Elizabeth's sons in law, William Ellis and David Sullivan. From what we know of the children's dates of birth, Dugal, Mary, and John were underage, but there is no mention of them in the estate papers, and there is no mention of guardianship.

Children named on later land indentures, were Elizabeth (wife of John Ellis), Dougal (wife Jane), James (wife Ann), John, Nancy, Margaret (wife of David Sullivan), and Mary.

In 1824, Elizabeth and her sons-in-law finished paying off the land purchased by her husband to the landlord of Lot 13, George Francis Seymour. See Land Conveyance 32(157, and 158), on familysearch.org Film # 008126396. The conveyance was read to Elizabeth; presumably she couldn't read.

Margaret Campbell Sullivan said on a later census record that both of her parents were born on the Island.
